It all began in 2017, when two friends set off on a journey around Sri Lanka. With every winding trail and mountain peak, they noticed something that stood out: while the island’s landscapes were breathtaking, many local travelers were exploring them without the right gear. Hiking, camping, and other essential adventurer’s equipment was either hard to find or far too expensive.
Inspired by this need, they decided to make a change. If adventure was meant for everyone, then the gear to enjoy it shouldn’t be a luxury. Out of that belief, Esjae was born — originally known as GrabYours — a brand created to make high-quality hiking, camping, and outdoor essentials accessible and affordable for all.
As the years went by, the journey took an unexpected turn. When the world faced the challenges of Covid-19, even a simple trip to the grocery store became difficult. That’s when we realized our mission could go further. We expanded into personal protective equipment (PPE), carrying forward the same values of trust, quality, and affordability that guided us from the very beginning.
Today, we’ve grown, evolved, and are now expanding our reach beyond Sri Lanka, starting with the UK. Yet at our core, nothing has changed.
